I have been under the care of Dr Saal since 2002. My back and shoulders have experienced severe and complicated issues throughout the years, from riding motorcycles. He has addressed every issue I have, successfully and found the right remedies for all. He maintains contact with me on a monthly basis, due to my chronic issues. I strongly recommend him to address your pain and injuries. Chiropractors cannot repair complicated injuries. In my case, they wouldn’t touch me. It took Dr Saal’s knowledge, experience and professionalism to address my needs.

Just had my first appointment with Doctor Bonzon, and can’t say enough great things. He was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and thorough in explaining what the cause of my pain could be and what the treatment plan looks like moving forward. He reviewed a prior MRI with me in great detail. He clearly has deep passion for his discipline and for patient care. Jeffrey Saal, MD is one of the most professional and compassionate doctors i’ve had care for me. 17 years now.

Last month I suffered from a herniated disc. Yesterday's appointment with Dr. Keane was to follow up. He reassured me that in most cases these heal up. But given the current level of impact on my mobility, we agreed an epidural steroid injection would be appropriate, so he will perform that next week. This is the second time I've seen Dr. Keene (the first was 2 1/2 years ago, involving spinal stenosis), and in both cases Dr. Keene has provided excellent advice.

Dr. Saal is a brilliant diagnostician with excellent bedside manner. I’ve seen several doctors who misdiagnosed the reason for my nerve pain and Dr. Saal was able to figure it out within minutes. He ordered an MRI for me and told me the complete treatment plan rather than minimizing my pain. Also, as a larger person, I typically get a lecture every time I see a doctor and this was not the case with Dr. Saal. I could not recommend him more highly.

The team in Redwood City Procedure Center were very efficient in checking in, made sure my medical information & insurance was accurate (2 min.). The surgical team was very organized, patient focused, facility was very clean and squared away. The procedure with Dr Bonzon was great. Dr explained each step in the procedure and reduced my level of anxiety to "0". I was Super Happy with the entire process and the procedure began to reduce the level of pain within a day. I will refer all of my family and friends to Dr Bonzon.

Shor wait. Listened carefully. Examined both feet and my orthotics carefully but didn't tickle me. Explained what he thought was going on waited and answered my question in an easy back and forth. I’ve known Dr Wall having worked with him nearly 20years ago. He is an excellent physician and surgeon. I have referred 4 family members and a few good friends to him over the years, all with knee or shoulder injuries, and they received excellent care and had successful outcomes. So of course when I have an injury myself, I go see him too. He is one of the best in the Bay Area and as long as he is operating and treating patients, I will continue to recommend him and see him myself.

My experience with Dr. Saal and his staff has been, to say the least, exceptional. So good, that I reside in Yosemite National Park and I still travel to see him and his team, that's how good and how satisfied I am with the care from them. Thanks Dr. Saal!

My husband has had very severe pain in his periauricular area of his neck for almost 9 months. His quality of life has diminished about 80%. Having taken pain meds and anti inflammatory drugs over this period of time but to no avail. he saw Dr Bonson on Friday July 7. I dealt with nerve symptoms from a bulging cervical disc and lumbar annular fissure for about 12 years before meeting with Dr. Saal. Multiple epidurals and years of PT with no resolution. I am a year out from cervical and lumbar transformational injections and am SO GRATEFUL for Dr. Saal and team. Nerve symptoms are essentially nonexistent, no more constant neck and low back pain. I can't thank him, and the team, enough for helping improve my quality of life.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Keane’s for many years. As an athlete, I have a lifetime of sports injuries and general wear-and-tear. After many years of dealing with a sciatic back condition and a flare up Dr Bonzon was able to diagnose and explain my condition in a way no other doctor had been able to before, down to which disks and which nerves are affected. I am working with Dr. Bonzon on what is turning out to be a difficult issue, namely thoracic steroidal anti-inflammatory injections related to severe post-herpetic neuralgia at thoracic levels 2, 3 & 4. I am so grateful to have found Dr. Bonzon. He truly feels like a partner in the care and progression of a few back issues I've had. After seeing multiple doctors and getting confusing response (many differing opinions with little explanation for course of treatment), I was relieved to first meet Dr. Bonzon. He spent 90 minutes with me, showing me things on my MRI that others had not explained. He could tell from looking at the images exactly where my pain would be and he was right. Up until that point, I had received blank feedback when I described my pain and was seeking to understand if it was indeed related to my back. While my road is long and there is no quick fix, I am grateful to have the compassionate, wise direction of Dr. Bonzon.

She asked many pertinent questions which I answered to the best of my ability, and she left the room whereupon a brief moment later the doctor entered. Dr. Jeff Saal is fantastic, but if I could make a suggestion…. I had a procedure done and my pain got worse, I called in the following Monday for an appt and could not get in until Thursday. I understand why I can’t get in on procedure days, but then couldn’t get in until 3 days later yikes! I couldn’t get in on Tues as there were 28 pts but could leave me on a cancelation list for that day, but got scheduled for Thursday:( my suggestion, as I work in dentistry and dentists do this, is to have at least 30 mins a day strictly for emergencies. I want to rate the office a 5 and Dr. Is a 5 but this really was disturbing. Thank you!

Dr Jeff Saal and his staff are a top notch, professional and comprehensive care team. I have been a patient at SOAR for over 35 years and over the years I have traveled hours to receive his advice and treatment for my spine. I have the highest praise for Dr Saal and I have confidently recommend his practice to anyone who asks about my care team. It's so refreshing to have a doctor that treats you as he would his own family and genuinely cares about your outcome. I recently had a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted at Stanford Hospital and I can't help but to compare my experiences. I would wait 2-3 months to see the doctor I booked my appointment with at Stanford, only to be seen by another unknown Dr or a NP. Dr Saal on the other hand, sits down with you and spends time listening and together we moves forward to a treatment plan. It's called "good old fashioned medicine" something you just don't find anymore! I will forever be thankful for the care and support I have received from SOAR and Dr Saal.
