Neeti A. Bathia, MD
Dr. Neeti Bathia received her undergraduate degree from Duke University and her medical degree from Cornell University. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center and her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and the Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation. Dr. Bathia completed a fellowship in sports medicine and interventional spine procedures at the Hospital for Special Surgery. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Sports Medicine.
Her academic interests include running medicine and musculoskeletal complaints (including low back and pelvic girdle pain) during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She also is trained in the use of diagnostic ultrasound in musculoskeletal conditions. She has been involved in medical coverage for multiple road races sponsored by New York Road Runners, including the New York City Marathon and multiple half-marathons. She is currently one of the physicians for Santa Clara University athletics.
Dr. Bathia has presented diagnostic ultrasound cases for the American College of Sports Medicine and has presented on spine pain at the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has published on ultrasound guidance for shoulder injections. She has conducted research on prevention of overuse injuries in runners, and
is an avid runner herself.
